Head Coach Ryan Porter

Ryan Porter

Ryan Porter, a native of San Bernardino, California, has a distinguished career both as a professional quarterback and a nationally recognized QB coach. After playing high school football at San Gorgonio HS from 1995-1999, Porter went on to play at San Bernardino Valley College, the University of Washington—where he was part of the 2001 Rose Bowl Championship team—and Missouri State University.

Porter’s professional career spanned nine years (2005-2013), primarily in the Arena Football League, where he had a standout season throwing for 2,367 yards, 43 touchdowns, and only 6 interceptions over a seven-game span.

Transitioning into coaching, Porter founded QB Cavalry, developing numerous Division 1 scholarship quarterbacks each year. His coaching prowess is evident in his contribution to producing over 25 full scholarship quarterbacks and guiding more than 70 quarterbacks nationally, from youth to college levels. In 2023 and 2024 alone, Porter helped 14 quarterbacks achieve Division 1 status, a testament to his exceptional coaching skills.

Before joining us, Porter coached high-profile talents like Jaxon Potter at Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic High School and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, whom he has been mentoring since Daniels was 12 years old.
